Rebecca Giani

My name is Rebecca, and I’m an international student who first came to Sydney a couple of years ago. I hold a bachelor’s degree in hospitality and tourism; now, I am starting the adventure of a Masters in Social Work.
I am a people person fascinated by social and cultural behaviours and structures. That is why I switched my seven years in hospitality to social work practice.

My goal is to understand as much as possible those social structures, hoping to make them better for all people influenced by them. Therefore, I’m starting with the university structure and student relationships. I’m keen to hear, especially from the international cohort, and do my best to make some improvements and represent them and the masters’ students portion in the association.
