SUMMARY:NVivo 11 Fundamentals (for Windows) Gold Coast
DESCRIPTION:NVivo is software that supports qualitative and mixed methods research. It’s designed to help you organize\, analyze and find insights in unstructured\, or qualitative data like: interviews\, open-ended survey responses\, articles\, social media and web content. This hands-on workshop is a basic introduction to NVivo and will provide you with the information and practice you need to get started with your own project. Using sample data\, you’ll create a project in NVivo and will work with textual data (Word documents and PDF files). You will be introduced to some basic queries and visualizations. Read more: http://download.qsrinternational.com/Document/Training/NVivo-11-for-Windows-Classroom-Workshop-Course-Outline-DAY-1.pdf. \nThis is a full day workshop\, funded by the Southern Cross Postgraduate Association and the Student Services Amenities Fund. Participants are asked to arrive 5 minutes early to log in to lab computers\, and asked to attend the full session. Please bring your own lunch\, as we have prioritised quantity and quality of training sessions in 2017 over catering. The student lounge in each SCU campus has facilities for heating\, toasting and tea/coffee making. If we can improve your access through any adjustments\, please email scpa-resources@scu.edu.au. \nThe workshop will be delivered by Dr Jenine Beekhuyzen\, Director of Adriot research and a QSR accredited trainer\, with 15 years of research experience across a number of government\, industry and university projects\, and 10 years experience in training in qualitative research software and methods. Jenine is an Honorary Fellow in the School of Information Technology\, Faculty of Science\, Engineering and Built Environment at Deakin University and is an Adjunct Professor in the Institute of Integrated and Intelligent Systems at Griffith University. Find out more about Jenine here: http://www.adroitresearch.com.au/who-we-are/our-team/. \nClick here to register for this workshop. \n
