SUMMARY:The Ethnographic Interview
DESCRIPTION: \n  \nThis seminar is about deconstructing the tacit qualities of respect\, trust and empathetic neutrality in developing rapport in the interview. In the seminar we will make explicit the qualities that develop rapport\, practicing them and then intentionally bringing these qualities into our interviews. This requires our interest and discipline. \nWe know that: \n\nthe cognitive and affective domains are inextricably linked\, this seminar gives you practice in developing both domains\nthe effective interview requires there to be respect\, trust and reciprocity and that these are tacit attributes: it’s not easy to describe how we do them\nthe skills to develop rapport are not always innate\, however\, they can be learned and then intentionally brought to the interview process\n\nAim of the seminar: \nTo allow you to experience and practice a set of internal attitudes that together as a system creates an external environment that promotes rapport in interviews. \n  \nRegistrations: \nAvailable by videoconference from Gold Coast\, Lismore or Coffs \n
