Many postgraduate students encounter financial burdens as a result of an unexpected need for expenditure to either enhance or support their continued success in their studies. These burdens may include, for example,textbooks and computers, conference travel & accommodation, support with formal written English expression to an appropriate academic level, rent assistance, or a needfor services and support not otherwise provided by the University or elsewhere in the community.
SCPA can provide financial assistance and/or material aid to eligible postgraduate students in financial hardship, and who are facing exceptional circumstances that otherwise can not be addressed through existing SCU programs/services or other external agencies.
In the first instance, students are encouraged to apply for an SCU no-interest postgraduate student loan, available from Student Services by visiting http://scu.edu.au/students/index.php/159
