We would like to extend a warm invitation to your postgraduate students to attend our upcoming Inaugural Conference “Indigenous Postgrad Leadership, Collaboration, Research and Diversity”.
The conference will be hosted by Griffith University Postgraduate Students Association at their Logan Campus on the 17th and 18th November 2016. The conference includes key note addresses by experienced academics and workshops to assist Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander postgraduate students who are completing Master’s Degree or Doctoral Degree by coursework or research.
Registration is FREE and students can register at: www.eventbrite.com.au/e/indigenous-postgrad-leadership-collaboration-research-and-diversity-conference-tickets-28802849097
For students facing financial hardship NATSIPA is offering scholarships up to $500 to support attendance.
NATSIPA works towards better support, greater funding, and improved opportunities for Indigenous Australians in higher education. We strive to create a comprehensive program to increase public awareness and commitment to partnerships that restore and retain Indigenous spirituality, cultures and languages, social systems, economic systems and self-determination.
I hope that some of your students are able to attend this very exciting event.
Please contact me if you have any questions or require more information.
Kind Regards,
Sadie Heckenberg
