Shastri Nimmagadda

Shastri is an ordinary member of the SCPA. He would love to volunteer with the SCPA to mentor the SCU’s postgraduate and research students. Shastri’s dedication to education is evident in his role as a student mentor through the SCPA platform. Shastri currently pursues research in the healthcare sciences at the Faculty of Health, SCU, which is all about environments impacting our cognitive health.

His extensive industry experience includes working for Schlumberger Company in multiple geo-markets worldwide as an Expert in petroleum operating and service companies in India, Australia, Uganda, Kuwait, Abu Dhabi, Egypt, Malaysia, Colombia, Indonesia, USA and Russia for over 30 years. He did M Tech and PhD in Petroleum Engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology, Kharagpur, India. Shastri has a Master of Information Technology degree from Curtin Business School, Perth, WA.

Shastri’s dedication to advancing knowledge in his fields of expertise is evident in his extensive publication record. He has published and presented over 180 research and technical papers in various international journals and conference proceedings, covering oil & gas exploration, petroleum engineering, business information systems, environmental sciences and health informatics. His contributions extend to education, with a few books relevant to business information systems and petroleum exploration engineering.

Shastri’s love for nature is a significant part of his life. He is a passionate traveller and nature lover, often spending time outdoors to enjoy nature’s fresh air and beauty. His commitment to fitness is also evident, as he regularly engages in gym activities to stay fit for his daily routines. Shastri’s love for meeting and conversing with people of diverse backgrounds reflects his open-mindedness and adaptability. He is a peace lover and a dedicated charity worker in Africa and India, helping destitute children who are disadvantaged in their education.
