Last week the ABC reported a temporary reprieve to higher education funding cuts, with the Nick Xenaphon Team coming out in opposition to the proposed Higher Education Support Legislation Amendment (A More Sustainable, Responsive and Transparent Higher Education System) Bill 2017. NXT Higher Education spokesperson Rebekha Sharkie called for an independent review, and opposed the proposed changes to the HECS repayment threshold.
